Staff Selection Commission SSC, has released the option form which allows candidates to choose their preferred departments based on their rank, category, and engineering discipline and departments which includes Central Public Works Department (CPWD), Military Engineering Services (MES), Central Water Commission (CWC), Border Roads Organization (BRO) ,Directorate of Quality Assurance (DQA), among others.

- Start of Online Applications: 28 March 2024
- Deadline for Online Applications: 18 April 2024 (up to 11:00 PM only)
- Last Date to Pay Exam Fee (Online): 19 April 2024
- Correction Window Opens: 22-23 April 2024
- Paper I (CBT) Exam Dates: 5-7 June 2024
- Release of Answer Key for Paper I: 12 June 2024
- Paper I Results Declaration: 20 August 2024
- Paper I Marks Upload: 22 August 2024
- Paper II Exam Date: 6 November 2024
- Answer Key for Paper II: 11 November 2024
- Option Form Submission Period: 9-12 December 2024

- Maximum Age for CPWD & CWC Posts: 32 Years
